4th Annual November Strongman/Strongwoman Competition

Join us for our annual fall strongman/strongwoman competition.

This will be a U.S.S. sanctioned competition where the top three in the Open. Masters, and Teen classes qualify for Nationals.

Divisions:

Teen Men (one class)

Teen Women (one class)

Novice Women: Lightweight (<148.4lbs) and Heavyweight (>148.4lbs).

Open Women: Lightweight (<148.4lbs) and Heavyweight (>148.4lbs).

Novice Men: Lightweight (<198.41lbs) and Heavyweight (>198.4lbs)

Open Men: Lightweight (<181.4lbs), Middleweight (<220.4) Heavyweight (>220.4lbs)

Masters Men (40 years old and up): one class

Yoke Squat (ascending style)t:
Competitor will begin under the yoke. After given the start command, the competitor will stand to the full lockout position. Athlete must then wait for a “down” command. at which point more weight will be added to the yoke. The competitor will then attmept another rep. More weight will be added after each rep until the lifter fails to lockout the weight. No sumo stance is allowed and the outside of the feet must be no more than 36” apart. Competitors may wear knee sleeves, knee wraps, and/or a belt. No squat suits or briefs allowed.

Competitor’s heights/Yoke height measured from the bottom of the bar.

<5'2" – 41” 5'3-5'5.9" – 43” 5'6"-5'8.9" – 45” 5'9"-5'11.9" – 47” 6-6'3" – 49” >6.3″ – 51”

Starting Weights:

Teen Men: 300lbs
Teen Women: 150lbs
Novice Women (Lightweight/Heavyweight): 150lbs/175lbs
Open Women (Lightweight/Heavyweight): 200lbs/220lbs
Novice Men (Lightweight/Heavyweight): 300lbs/350lbs
Open Men (Lightweight/Middleweight/Heavyweight): 350lbs/400lbs/450lbs
Masters Men: 300lbs

*Women will make 20lb jumps each rep and the men will make 50lb jumps.

Log Clean and Press:
Competitor will clean the log from the ground and press to a full lockout position. The athlete must wait for the “down” command before cleaning and pressing again (athlete must clean every rep). The competitor will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible. Competitors may use chalk, wrist wraps, and elbow sleeves. No bench shirts or elbow wraps allowed.

Open Women (Lightweight/Heavyweight): 120lbs/140lbs
Novice Men (Lightweight/Heavyweight): 150lbs/180lbs

Masters Men: 150lbs

Silver Bullet Captains of Crush Grip:
Once the start command is given, the competitor will squeeze the gripper with one hand holding the silver bullet at an arm’s length. The competitor hold for as long as possible. One the bullet drops, the competitor is done. Chalk, knee, and elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, and/or a belt are allowed. No tacky.

All Men wll use the # 1 Captain of Crush gripper with 8lbs

All Women will use the Trainer Gripper with 8lbs

18″ Axle Deadlift (Wessels Rule):
The competitor must deadlift the axle to a full lockout position. No excessive hitching is allowed and there must be continuous upward movement. Athlete must wait for the “down” command to credited with a successful rep. No sumo stance allowed. The event will be done in a “last man standing style.” The axle bars will move up in increments of 50lbs for men and 20lbs for women until all the competitors (except one in each class) have failed. An athlete may complete as many successful attempts as he/she wants and may jump in at any weight. However, once an athlete misses a weight, he/she is out. Straps, sleeves, and weight belts are allowed. No deadlift suits.

Starting weight for Teen Men, Masters, and Novice Men – 350lbs
Starting weights for all Open Men – 400lbs
